BIRTHDAY GAG GIFTS

11th September

When birthdays roll around and you have someone that is difficult to buy for what do you do?  You’re sure that he or she won’t appreciate another pair of socks.  The person may be a boss, a doctor or someone that you know, but not well enough to purchase a large extravagant gift for.  You mull over a few options; underwear is out of the question, socks aren’t right and you certainly don’t have the money for the Bentley or Harley.  Why not consider birthday gag gifts.
Even though we didn’t have the money to gift the Harley it is amazing just how many doctors, attorneys, executives, clients, friends etc. want to be the “biker dude/babe”, with all the tough machismo associated with the title?  A birthday gift for your biker pal should be easy because you know their hobby, It’ a personal gift, yet not too personal. (Nobody wants to know their attorney enough to know he wears tighty whiteys.)
So now that we have settled on a biker gift what should we buy; a jacket, chaps, pipes, tires, pistons?  Purchase of these items takes an intimate knowledge of the gift recipient and how do we find these things out without giving away the surprise?  Birthday gag gifts often become something that the person cherishes even more than the Harley or Bentley.  Okay, that’s a lie, but they do love them.  A good, on point, gag gift says; you know what they like, you took the time to find just the right item and it’ll usually bring a huge belly laugh.  It’s guaranteed that your boss, spouse or client will remember the day and the giver fondly every time they see it.
Often birthday gag gifts wind up in a prominent area of display and are shown to others at every opportunity.  These gifts are not only associated with a special birthday celebration but also with a favorite hobby and a favorite person.  It is amazing how these silly types of gifts become family heirlooms, since everyone in the family remembers how much “Dad”, “Uncle Howard”, or “Mom” loved to show it off or laughed every time someone asked about it.
A gag gift is one way to say, “I think you’re special and a lot of fun.”  Remember, nobody gives birthday gag gifts to a grouch.  A grouch gets socks, scented candles or mugs without any writing or pictures on them.  Only fun loving people get gag gifts so if you receive one, know someone has paid you a huge compliment.
If you really want to make a hit with your wild and crazy Harley riding accountant who has a dog, then get them a leather jacket for their pet.   But if you don’t know what size the dog is a great fall back is a crazy saying on a mug, a t-shirt or some biker products with crazy names.    No matter how much they’d like to do it, they typically don’t purchase the item for themselves, so that duty is left for you to take care of!

Birthday gag gifts are not only fun, they say a lot about both the person receiving the gift and the one giving it.  They show that you took time to find the right affordable item and that the recipient loves a good joke and has a great sense of humor.  The next time you want to get a birthday present for the man or woman that has everything or someone who you know; but you don’t really know.  The perfect fall back items are gag gifts and did you know they are also great for all other occasions.

Seriously, how do I deal with my wife having Cancer?

30th September

I believe she is healed, trying not to claim this. Barbara my wife I love always. This sucks because I cant do anything but be here for her. I am stll very faithfull, but shoot it's hard, temptations. I do believe in God and pray, not trying to question, my faith has gone down a notch.

Barbara or any one does not deserve this, I would not wish this on anyone ever. Every day is a challenge, I am trying to do everything, cook, wash clothes without complaining.
Complaing will not change anything, I lost my job back in January, i'm on this computer asking for real advice.

This is a heck of a test, when we get through this no one can not tell us anything. God help, dang I wanna cry right now. Please help, I love my wife, gift from you God.

We used to do a Cancer benifit run. What sucks, my mother in law passed away December 2005 from Cancer, we miss n love you.

Help me with serious advise, suggesion, and honest answers.

I'm so sorry for the ordeal you both are having right now. My father has liver cancer now and my mother died because of liver cancer too.

What I can say is never be apart from her. Be strong, brave, and patient. Talk to her and tell her good stories as it will make her feel very comfortable. Try to do a lot of fun things like going on a picnic with her while she still can. Visiting your relatives and going out with friends will help too.

I suggest your wife go on holistic diet which is consuming vegetables and fruits. My father is doing that now in order to keep fighting the cancer and he no longer eats red meat as it will make the cancer grow stronger. Also the main point of holistic treatment is not consuming chemical-based medicines. You can find holistic books in amazon.com and I'm sure there's a doctor specialized in holistic treatment in your area.

I'm wishing the best of luck for both of you. Keep praying, always believe in God and dont forget that miracles do happen. We can share a lot about this :) Cheers!

Good gag gift for a Christmas party…?

30th September

I am going to a Christmas party this Saturday and need to bring a gift good for a man or woman in the $20 to $25 range. I don't really want to put a whole lot of thought or time into this so I was thinking a gag gift (with gift reciept) would be the best. So what would be some good ideas?

well according to Saturday night live it's- a di.ck in a box
1-cut a hole in box
2-put your junk in that box
3-make her open that box,

and that's the way you do it

What are some homemade gifts I can make for a new 8 year old?

30th September

My nephew is turning 8 soon and I'm low on cash. I could buy him one decent birthday toy, but he'll likely get bored of it soon afterward. I've been itching to get crafty lately and I'd love to make him some birthday gifts.

I've thought of making a personalized memory card game where the images that he has to match would be photos of our family members and pets. I'd glue the pictures to index cards and have those cards laminated.

Also, I want to blow up his favorite picture of him and grandma (he LOVES grandma) and fix that to cardboard and cut it into puzzle pieces so that he can play with that.

I know he'd enjoy these gifts. I'd like to gather more ideas and the answers community seldom fails me in this area!

Thanks!

I think both your ideas are great. Another idea might be a t-shirt of him and grandma or him and his favorite pet. Or if he really likes photos, get him a photo album and a disposable camera. You can put a few pictures of family and friends in the album to get him started and let him do the rest. Every kid I know loves taking pictures, and I'm sure he'll enjoy looking at them later.

Home Depot $25,000 Gift card contest Chris Maine Dozen Kids

30th September

This video is an entry for the Home Depot $25,000 Gift card contest. First I will say it is very hard to videotape in two minutes everything and then pick through the clips. My wife and I bought this house as a foreclosure to get our six kids out of the city and into the country. 18 months after buying the house my wife was diagnosed with cancer and at a very young age of 44 and only six months after being diagnosed, she had passed away.

Since then, I have met a woman who has six kids, one who has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair and I still don’t have a wheelchair ramp up for him. I am half way there with the ramp. Some of the children gone now and I have two grandchildren and one on the way.

Between losing my wife and gaining another family, there is never enough money to finish the house.
